With its hard to pronounce name, it is easier associated with Jules Verne´s novel, Journey to the center of earth. In may of 2010, i continued my habit of getting on buses and freight trucks, passing a landscape so enchanting that i lack the words. To convey the magical light play on the variable landscape of golden mountains, mad lava, mystical glacier and a canvas of sea and sky, i create videos that will convey it all. Dark and light, sunny and cloudy, green grass and snow-it will all flow past your eyes, on a drive to the center of the earth. Planned release is early summer 2011.

This newest extension of the Inland/Outland project is in cooperation with the Snaefellsnes National Park. As the key element to the project is the access to vehicles that i can photograph from, the support of freight truck companies Nesfrakt and Ragnar og Ásgeir is the foundation of the process. Accomodation from the world class Hotel Budir, which is situated in the sparsely populated area just by the glacier, during the winter shots. While the summer shots are relatively easy, with 24 hour daylight and reasonable weather, the winter process poses severe limitations. To chase the variety of winters most dramatic moments, requires time and a work base at various places around the western peninsula. This is a photographic hunt, Hemingway mentality, the long and slow chase, yet always on the move.
